First they remove the old shingles and underlayment and prep the deck by pounding down the old fasteners. We install starter metal and new underlayment is installed. The new gable and valley metal comes next. Swift starts are installed at the eves and the gables to prevent wind uplift and to serve as anchor for the first course of roofing. Presidential starter course goes on the eves to provide a smooth line and then the remainder of the roofing is installed.
